Established in December 2005 as the Greater Vancouver Transit Authority Police Service, the Transit Police Service (South Coast British Columbia Transportation Authority Police Services) is Canada's first dedicated transit police service.The Transit Police Service invites applications from prospective police recruits and experienced police officers that have high ethical standards, personal integrity, strong interpersonal skills and a desire to serve the community. The Transit Police Service's selection process is consistent with the Police Services Division - Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General recommendations and standards on selection, recruitment and training.
